Configuration assessments

A configuration assessment is a review of the technical configuration of the target system or device. The purpose of the configuration assessment is to extract / view the configuration of a particular system, and compare that configuration against a standard. The standard can be external (e.g. CIS, NIST, etc), internal (i.e. internally developed configuration standards), regulatory (e.g. PCI) or a combination or all of these depending on specific requirements.

We have the skills and experience to perform configuration assessments against many types of systems and devices, including but not limited to:

  • Firewalls and proxies
  • Routers and switches
  • Wireless environments
  • Intrusion detection and prevention systems
  • Unix systems
  • Wintel systems
  • Database systems
  • Email environments
  • Specific application environments (e.g. Blackberry Enterprise Server, Active Directory, etc)
